Messrs. Eric Cheung & Lau was founded by two solicitors, Eric C.O. Cheung and Eric K.S. Lau, and is a dynamic and steadily growing law firm in Hong Kong.
In July 2012, the firm first commenced its legal practice as a sole-proprietorship, and took the name of Messrs. Eric Cheung & Co. With the expansion of business and the forming of new partnership, the firm has moved into its current office location in the Central district of Hong Kong.

Eric was admitted to practise as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
Eric specializes in litigation and dispute resolution. He acts for private companies and product manufacturers in a variety of contentious matters, including contractual disputes and injunctions. He is also a panel solicitor of the Legal Aid Department, and has represented many aided clients in a number of criminal litigations, personal injuries actions, employees’ compensation cases, and matrimonial proceedings. He is also a Solicitor-on-fiat, and prosecutes cases for the Department of Justice.
Besides his busy legal practice, Eric had been awarded for his continued contributions to pro-bono services for the local community by the Home Affairs Bureau in Hong Kong. He is a panel lawyer serving The Duty Lawyer Service on various schemes. Eric is also a civil celebrant of marriages, reverse mortgage counselor of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited, and a part-time law lecturer.
With the introduction of mediation as an alternative dispute resolution procedure in civil proceedings, Eric is accredited as a panel mediator for the Hong Kong Mediation Alliance, and a National Mediator for the Hong Kong Association of Staff and Workers Education and Vocational Training.

Eric was admitted to practise as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2008.
Eric focuses in criminal litigation. He was a former prosecutor for the Department of Justice with extensive experience in handling criminal cases. He is now a Solicitor-on-fiat, and prosecutes cases for the Department of Justice. He serves a panel solicitor of the Legal Aid Department, and has represented many aided clients in a number of criminal litigations.
He is also a panel lawyer serving The Duty Lawyer Service on various schemes, including the Convention Against Torture (CAT) Scheme (Publicly-funded Legal Assistance Scheme for Non-refoulement Claimants), Duty Lawyer Scheme and Free Legal Advice Scheme. In 2012, the firm had been awarded for continued contributions to pro-bono services for the local community by the Home Affairs Bureau in Hong Kong.
He also acts for major insurance companies in debt recovery cases.
Eric speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
